Current FBB Inventory
In-stock basses are all either prototypes or basses not built on commission. All basses are guaranteed to sound and play great, but are deeply discounted because they need homes. |

This little guy is the first FBB short scale. Personally, I think it is great! At 8.6 lbs it's not a back breaker but it's also substantial enough to not feel like a mini bass. It's not floppy or sloppy, with a variety of tones from sweet to dirty. The three way treble cut replaces your tone knob for a no load solution with positions at .47 and .80 mF cut for clean to doomsday settings.

This bass is just finished. It is a Nu Lupis prototype -- the shape is undergoing another revision as I write this, so this is the last of this particular Lupis design.

Project curl - an excellent player, exceptional for slap bass. Bass is wired with two switches for passive tone bypass and passive volume bypass for unadulterated EMG tone straight to the jack when you want it.

This bass is another transparent dye prototype. It is lighweight and comfortable, with loads of sweet fretless tone. The fretless morado fingerboard is exceptionally easy on the eyes with its bee's wing figure and the spar varnish is both durable and shiny. People like shiny things!

Kam Phi is one of several southeast asian rosewoods that has recently started filtering into lumberyards of late. This very unusual piece gives this solid four string very striking appearance. The shape of this bass is a one-off variation on the player with a shortened lower horn that allows easy access to all 24 frets. Features a Villex setup with individual volumes, passive tone, and passive midrange attenuator.

The DC body shape is a simple double cutaway design. It is symmetric at the butt end but slightly asymmetric at the cutaways for improved balance. It is a very compact body style that will only be an option on 4 string basses. This one is a great player and a slapper with 22 frets.

The cottonwood crotch top on this bass is incredible. You are guaranteed to have the only one on your block. Knobs are now black (not gold as in the pictures). A great player that I have recorded several times with great results.

This bass is one of the last real FBB prototype with the older d-style necks. The profile is a flat "D" profile. I played a Warwick neck recently and it has a similar feel to one of those. The sound of this bass is terrific with meaty Bartolini P2s and a flexible 3-band eq. Buying the parts alone on this bass would set you back more than half of what I am asking.
